I am a Principal Research Scientist at Honda Research, where my recent work centers on enhancing human-AI interaction within autonomous driving vehicles and robots. You can explore my contributions on these topics through my Google Scholar profile.
My journey began with a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands, focusing on HCI for intelligent vehicles. During my doctoral research, which garnered multiple paper awards at Automotive UI and received recognition from prominent outlets like Engadget and New Scientist, I developed design implementations showcased at prestigious events such as the Frankfurt Auto Show and Dutch Design Week.
Prior to my doctoral studies, I served as a UX designer at Shanghai Motor Group, and subsequently as a Creative Technologist at NIO before joining Honda. Over a decade of dedication to HCI in the automotive realm has endowed me with deep insights into the evolving landscape of intelligent systems.
With a diverse background spanning design, HCI, and computer science (as evidenced on my LinkedIn profile), I approach my work with a designer's sensibility, envisioning AI as a catalyst for the evolution of next-generation human-machine interfaces.
I love cycling, photography and flying drones.
